Do You Salute Warrant Officers

Do You Salute Warrant Officers - As you are likely aware, a salute is a gesture of respect and sign of comradeship among military service personnel or to show respect to the nation's colors. It was always more impactful when british forces conduct joint training and differences, especially in warrant officers gaining entry to the officer’s club. For the most part the foreign officers respectfully acknowledge the salute and offer one back. I know what the regulation says. My brother in law is a warrant officer in the marines and was at an army post. I agree and support the regulation when it comes to saluting, but the truth is the salute is a time honored recognition between warriors.

1)if you are an enlisted soldier: Lower enlisted were not saluting, and when he asked them why, they told him that they did not salute warrants in the army. This question was posted in a sarcastic way. One snotty captain said “how about sirs?” but didn’t salute. I made a point not being an ass hat to anyone who was professional enough to salute and address me during the next 27 years of service.

As such, their services do not render a salute, whereas the american forces do consider warrant officers as officers. While on entry controller duty on my assigned installation we are required to render all proper customs and courtesies to both foreign and domestic officers to include warrant officers. I saw a some mid warrants appointed the jr warrant fridge duty on deployment. I know what the regulation says. One snotty captain said “how about sirs?” but didn’t salute. 1)if you are an enlisted soldier:

Something i have been noticing though is the lackluster salutes given by officers from my own country. Lower enlisted were not saluting, and when he asked them why, they told him that they did not salute warrants in the army. We too often see saluting as some obligatory requirement to recognize rank.  I agree and support the regulation when it comes to saluting, but the truth is the salute is a time honored recognition between warriors.
